BIRDS OF PARADISE – Bruny Island TAS Australia 2008

BIRDS OF PARADISE – Bruny Island TAS Australia 2008

Cape Bruny, Bruny Island.

My Mate Steve came to visit, I so wanted to take him fishing, but the weather wouldn’t permit, so we went site seeing. To me when the weather is severe, it provides me with opportunities, not threats. These rocks at a guess would be around 60 feet high. The waves?… Your guess. But there they were, Cormorants, protected by the treacherous rocks they have called home for centuries.

It took me an hour, my knuckles blue, the wind howling, the camera locked off, waiting for the power of the sea to deliver a set of waves to illustrate the conditions.

Must get some gloves, some thermal underwear and a good hat.

I travel Australia in my Caravan “The Tardis” photographing this beautiful County.

I have a Web Site where you can see where I have been, the sights and the people I meet along the way.
