Khe Ga lighthouse is located in tan thanh viallage, Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province, 45 km south of Phan Thiet. Khe Ga is 5ha wide islet. Hundreds of diversified granited clusters alternate with that of aged frangipanes in the islet.
This lighthouse bears the same name as the island. It was built in 1897-1899 by the French. The octagonal tower is made of granite and is 41m high. It has sides of 2.6m at its base and 2.5m at its top. The light can be seen as far as 22 miles away. Considered a valuable "artwork," Khe Ga lighthouse is an attractive historical and tourist site. Tourists can climb a spiral staircase with 184 steps made of steel to get to the top of the lighthouse from which they can enjoy the view.

Stretching Strippers at Hollywood Park
I was hired by
Stiletto Magazine here
in Los Angeles to take photos
the other night of the
Jim "Poorman" Trenton's
Annual Bikini Beach Run-
a rather surreal event held
at the Hollywood Racetrack
in Inglewood
where the horses run. Some
16 strippers from two
competing strip clubs came
together to run an eighth of
a mile race out on the track.
We drove out onto the track
together in an immense
stretch Hummer inside of
which the girls danced in
close confines (except for
the two claustophobic ones,
who needed to put their
heads out of the window)
before emerging on
the track
before a crowd of about
9000 people.
After this spectacle and before
the race, they came inside -
where the jockeys warm
up and weigh in -
and stretched to get ready-
which is what is
happening
here.

Down the Nave at the National Shrine
This is a thirty minute exposure at f/138 on Fuji Acros-100 b/w 4x5 (large format) film using my Zero Image 4x5 wood pinhole camera. This photograph was recorded from the rear of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. The camera was pointed upward slightly, causing the sculpted wall behind me to appear in the image (the top fifth or so of the photo). It you look carefully at the front of the church (about 0.1 miles off in the distance), you can make out hints of the huge Messiah Mosaic.

I never imagined that this picture would recieve so much attention. It feels great to have created something that has an impact on other people. I have gotten quite a few messages where people have asked to know more about the picture so I thought it would be right to give some background info on the picture.
In 2006 me and my girlfriend were on a vacation in Croatia on the island of Brac. We were having a nice day on the beach walking along the coastline when I noticed this girl standing on a rock quite close to the ocean she stood there and did´nt move and she seemed so lonely. I had fallen some distance behind my girlfriend that was walking ahead of me so I only took this one photo of the girl as I walked by, I never saw her face. I rushed to catch up with my girlfriend and we had walked some distance when I looked back and the girl was still standing there.
A while ago I finally decided what I wanted to do with the photo and the end result is what you see here. I made the picture from the emotion I was getting from it. I put in the black background and the shaft of light and it just felt somehow right that way.
