Joy in the Morning Silver Gelatin Infrared HIE print
Infrared film developed and printed in a traditonal wet darkroom on silver gleatin fiber based paper by Mary Bailey Thomas.
The reason the right hand side says, "Digital" is that my images are 11" x 14" or larger most of the time and will not fit into the scanner. I use my Nikon D-50 to shoot the black and white, BW Toned or BW handcolored prints to enter them on Flickr
Fountains abbey
The Lay Brothers' refrectory with vaulted ceiling . Yes, I know that I have broken the 'rules' with the converging horizontals in the dead centre, but that is how I like it (So there!!!)
Day 127/365--For my Nabila....
Nabila is a dear Flickr friend of mine who takes wonderful retro pics :) I look forward to her kind comments, perk-ups, and pics everyday :) She is a true gem!
Thank you for always inspiring me, Nabila!
Random tidbit: this is one of my favorite albums...it's John 'Cougar' Mellencamp and has a fun, fun song on it called 'Jack and Diane' :)

”Nella nuda sera del Sabato
Mi accontento di guardare la gente
Che ride fuori di casa nell’aria.
Anche il mio cuore è di aria
E nei miei occhi ride la gente
E nei miei ricci
È la luce del Sabato.
Giovane, mi accontento del Sabato,
povero, mi accontento della gente,
vivo, mi accontento dell’aria.
Sono abituato al male del Sabato.”
P.P. Pasolini – “Mi contenti” (Mi accontento)

"In the roughness of Saturday night
I'm glad to watch people
outside laughing in the open air.
My heart also is made of air
my eyes reflect the joy of the people
and in my hair shines Saturday night.
Young man, I'm glad with my miserly
Saturday night, I'm happy with people
I am alive, I am happy with the air.
I am used to the evil of Saturday night."
P.P. Pasolini - "I'm glad"

Wet-Plate Collodion BGA Ambrotype
This one I shot with, Hugo Meyer Portrait Trioplat 12"/3.5 fully open
As usual I used artificial light - three sources+reflector - one source with 4 lamps I placed near the camera and above it - fill light.
Second with 6 lamps I placed from left at 45 degree.
Last source with two lamps I placed near the backdrop as background light.
